The SCS brushing process is increasingly used to remove existing rust from sheets or coils of hot roll. This is especially important because the rust does not return, even though no oil is applied after brushing.

Brushing for rust removal not only prevents mill claims, it lets you turn rusted secondary material into prime paintable material. SCS rust removal leaves behind only a slight discoloration that presents no problems with regard to paint adherence or coverage.
