The SCS brushing process imparts amazing rust resistance to hot rolled black steel.

The blank shown on the right was brushed on one side in February 2002. In the recent photo shown here, the brushed side remains rust free after all this time has passed, while the unbrushed side has noticeable rust.

SCS’ rust resistance means a surface with NO OIL ! No oil to make blanks stick together, gum up tooling, or irritate your skin. Best of all, no oil for the mill to apply or for users to remove.
